Obo Kwahu is a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The present Obo Kwahu is now the most beautiful in the whole of Kwahu District. Our town is well known for its beauty and Grand Easter festival. The area is commonly known as “Small London”.
Our Aim, Pride and Objective for Obo Next Gen is to reach out to the youth here in the UK of Obo Kwahu origin with the co-operation of the Parent Association (Obo Kwahu Association) to bring unity to its members here in the UK, propose development plans/ investments back home in Ghana, fellowship and celebrate success/achievement’s.
It’s our mission to raise funds from 1st July 2020 – 31st December 2020 to help us kick-start our aspirations for the year 2021.
Our ambition from the year 2021:
- Sponsors 5 children for the next 5 years through school – This will promote and ensure education is accessible for the less fortunate children.
- Contribute to the on-going water infrastructure project in Obo Kwahu
- Preserve and Maintain our culture – By providing Twi lesson to children here in the UK
- Have regular workshop to discuss ways to empower people in Obo Kwahu to be self-sufficient and assist its UK members in future developments in the town.
